- From Housewife To Soldadera -

 

These outfits were created for LA ADELITA Editorial, inspired in the Mexican Revolution during the 1920’s. Especially on those housewives that ended up with their husbands fighting the war, these women did numerous jobs during the war, from taking care of the sick to becoming Spies and even soldaderas fighting for the revolution. The main focus of the editorial and the photo-shoot was the use of Props in which the Mexican technique called “Papel Picado” was used, as well as lace handmade jewelry to make the transition of the Mexican housewife to that soldier or Soldadera.
